Cyanogen Inc. has launched Themes Design Challenge that lets artists and content creators submit original theme packs for the Cyanogen OS that comes pre-installed on smartphones. You can customize user interface, including wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animations, and controls of the operating system. Cyanogen tied up with Micromax recently for YU branded devices that comes with Cyanogen OS. The first YU smartphone will be launched in December. The Cyanogen OS in these smartphones have Themes app that lets users download free and paid themes. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs75KX83ttE Participants can submit their designs via Cyanogen’s initial release of Themes Studio, an online tool to upload and publish themes content. Regarding Themes and the contest, Cyanogen Inc. said: Cyanogen is currently working on other features of the Themes Studio to make it easier for content creators to design and publish themes. Qualified theme packs submitted to the Themes Design Challenge will be made available via the release of Cyanogen’s new Themes app, which will come preloaded on select handset launches pre-installed with Cyanogen OS.
