Researcher finds URL spoofing vulnerability on Mi browser and Mint Browser, Mi Security team acknowledges the issue

<img alt="" src="https://images.fonearena.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Xiaomi-Mint-Browser-e1545629616124.jpg" /> Arif Khan, an independent security researcher has recently discovered an issue on Xiaomi Browsers including Mi Browser and recently launched Mint Browser. The vulnerability (CVE-2019-10875) was found to be present in Global version of these browsers and not on the Chinese version, which as per the researcher might be intentional. How was the vulnerability discovered? The researcher says that it was an accidental discovery, and it didn't require much effort. He decided to test a certain feature in Mi Browser which was behaving abnormally than expected. As per the researcher, it was discovered when he tried to open a Google query search link through Mi Browser, and it tried to display only the 'search query' in the URL address bar. As per him, it takes almost 0 user interactions user to exploit. When you try to open a link with a query portion with that URL, Xiaomi's browsers try to display it as search engines would display it in the search bar, but the URL bar doesn't display the full URL, and this not only happens in case of popular search engine websites but also with other websites. In the same lines, today, Google's own website accidentally confirms the existence of Pixel 3a smartphone. Pixel 3a is said to be a smaller and lighter version of Pixel 3. Google has accidentally listed a new smartphone named Pixel 3a on its own Store. The listing was found on the 'Phones' section and on the 'Compare phones' section of Google store. Interestingly, the phone was listed as "midyear experiences" which suggests that Google might launch the smartphone in this summer itself instead of the usual October launch window. There might be a possibility of Google to launch Pixel 3a at I/O developer conference in May. There is no other concrete information apart from the name of the smartphone i.e., Pixel 3a. Smart Reply powered by learning offers users a selection of suggested responses, either as actions on a notification or inside the app itself. This can really help a user to quickly respond when they are busy or a handy way to initiate a longer message. The new Smart Reply API lets developers quickly achieve the same in their own apps. The API provides suggestions based on the last 10 messages in a conversation, although it still works if only one previous message is available. It is a stateless API that fully runs on-device, so Google doesn't keep message history in memory nor send it to a server. The Smart Reply feature is currently supported only in English. Coming to Language Identification, ML Kit now recognizes text in 103 different languages and typically only requires a few words to make an accurate determination. It’s time to talk about the biggest, coolest, or generally most interesting stories from the last 24 hours.</p> <h2>Amazon Wants to Send 3,236 Satellites into Low Earth to Bring Internet to the Masses</h2> <p>Last September, there were murmurs of Amazon working on <a href="https://www.geekwire.com/2018/beyond-cloud-amazon-web-services-hiring-engineers-big-audacious-space-project/?tag=823814-20">some sort of space project</a>. More details recently arose, showing that the plan is to launch a bunch of satellites to trickle down internet access to underserved communities.</p> <p>Seriously though, how cool is that?</p> <p>Amazon is calling this effort “Project Kuiper,” (named after astronomer <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerard_Kuiper">Gerard Kuiper</a>) and the details were recently uncovered by <a href="https://www.geekwire.com/2019/amazon-project-kuiper-broadband-satellite/?tag=823814-20">GeekWire</a> in a series of three filings made by the FCC. The plan is to launch 3,236 satellites—784 at 367 miles, 1,296 at 379 miles, and 1,156 at 391 miles—to provide internet access in places around the Earth that are either totally unserved or generally underserved. Amazon wants to bring internet access to the globe.</p> <p>In response to the findings, GeekWire reached out to Amazon for a statement, at which time the project was confirmed:</p> <blockquote> <p>Project Kuiper is a new initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This is a long-term project that envisions serving tens of millions of people who lack basic access to broadband internet. Apple Music subscription prices reduced in India, now at Rs. 99 per month

It was priced at Rs.120 per month, Rs. 190 per month and Rs.60 per month respectively. But today, Apple has announced price cuts on its range of plans and now the price starts at Rs.99 per month. With the launch of YouTube Music in India, we saw JioSaavn and Gaana reducing their subscription by a whopping 70 percent. Following suit, Apple has also brought down the subscription charges on Apple Music. The Individual plan now costs Rs.99/month and the Family plan now costs Rs. 149/month and finally the Student plan costs Rs.99/month. Interestingly, JioSaavn's annual subscription now costs Rs.299 per year as opposed to Rs.999 per year previously. Gaana's premium subscription also now costs Rs.299 as opposed to Rs.1,198 previously. With the revised prices, Apple Music and YouTube Music cost Rs. 99 per month which is followed by Spotify which is priced at Rs.129 per month. The company has finally announced that the phone will go on sale again starting tomorrow, April 6th on popular demand on Amazon.in, but there will be limited stock. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has 10GB RAM, 256GB storage and is priced at Rs. 50,999.  It comes with 30 watt Warp Charge 30, OnePlus’ new charging standard that promises 50% charge in just 20 minutes of charge for a day’s use.  That company has used new Integrated Circuits in both the charger and the phone, as well as finely tuned power management software without generating excessive heat. It has Papaya Orange finish that races around the bottom edge of the device before fading into the black.
