This guide will only show you the steps to setting up an Etsy shop and listing your handmade items—for the business, tax, and legal side of things, be sure to talk with an accountant, lawyer, and your local <a href="https://www.sba.gov/">small business administration</a>.</p>
<h2>Etsy Selling Fees</h2>
<p>Just like on eBay, Swappa, and most other selling platforms, <a href="https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014483627-Fees-for-Selling-on-Etsy-and-Pattern">Etsy charges fees</a> to sell your handmade stuff. Here’s a quick breakdown:</p>
<ul>
<li>You’ll be charged $0.20 for posting a listing. Listings expire after four months, but you can automatically renew for another $0.20.</li>
<li>You’ll be charged $0.20 for additional quantities that sell. So if you post a listing for a keychain and have 10 of them to sell, you’ll be charged $0.20 up front for posting the listing, and then $0.20 each for the rest of the nine keychains—but only if they sell.</li>
<li>Etsy takes a 5% cut from the total price of your item, including shipping fees. So if you’re selling keychains for $5 each and charging $3 for shipping, Etsy will take a 5% cut from the total $8.</li>
<li>If you decide to use the Etsy Payments platform to accept payments for your shop (which I highly recommend), you’ll be charged a small percentage fee for that as well. This <a href="https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015628847">varies by country</a>, but in the US it’s 3% of the total cost plus $0.25. You could use another payment platform if you wish, like PayPal, but you’ll still be subjected to payment processing fees no matter which platform you use.</li>
</ul>
<p>So in total, you’ll be charged 8.5% of the total selling price of your item, plus $0.45. So if you sell a necklace for $50, expect to give $4.70 of that to Etsy as a selling fee.</p>

Since Essential's first phone struggled to sell due to its relatively high price and software bugs, the company stopped development of its sequel. Of the $300 million funding, the company spent about $100 million developing its first products, and Rubin put Essential up for sale, according to reports. The company is now working on a different phone with a small screen that will try to mimic the user and automatically respond to messages on their behalf. An Essential spokeswoman said: This has been a difficult decision to make. We are very sorry for the impact on our colleagues who are leaving the company and are doing everything we can to help them with their future careers. Furthermore, the new fees vary depending on country and device type, and it would apply to devices activated on or after February 1st, 2019. Alternatively, manufacturers can choose not to pay the fee as Google is also offering separate agreements to cover the licensing costs for companies that choose to install Chrome and Google search on their devices, according to sources. Google’s licensing terms are changing in Europe later this month on account of a European Commission fine over misusing its position and forcing its apps on Android manufacturers. The leaked document said: "FEES VARY BY PIXEL DENSITY, PUTTING HIGHER COSTS ON HIGHER-END PHONES." EU countries are divided into three tiers, with the highest fees coming in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Norway, and the Netherlands. There is another feature that is coming to Chrome to censor the content in media notifications on Android in Incognito Mode. The Google Chrome "self-share" feature flag hasn't been merged in just yet, so it is unclear when the feature might end up in Chrome. However, the functionality is described in an informal message between developers attached to the change log: "I put together a quick feature flag to start working on a prototype for sharing URLs between mobile and desktop chrome." The flag description found by Chrome Story elsewhere in the Gerrit also confirms: "Allows users to post tabs from Android devices to allow other synced computer to reopen those same." The media notification changes spotted seems to be exclusive to Android and are logical. Currently, the media notifications for content playback from an Incognito tab display metadata like video/audio title, URL, artist/channel, a background image, etc. However, this will change soon and the media playback notifications coming from Incognito windows will be hidden, and would merely show "A site is playing media" with the playback controls.
