Apple on Saturday announced that it will be donating Rs 7 crore towards the ongoing relief work in Kerala. To remind you, Apple started accepting Mercy Corps Donations through the App Store and iTunes Store for Kerala floods. Users can donate up to $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or $200, 100% of which goes to Mercy Corps. Since the start of floods in Kerala, over 400 have lost their lives, while hundreds are stranded homeless. Apple said that it is heartbroken by the catastrophic flooding in Kerala and this fund is to bring back life in the state and help the displaced and rebuild homes and schools. It is making the donation to Mercy Corps India and the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to support such efforts. Apple in a statement said: We're heartbroken by the catastrophic flooding in Kerala.
