Days Gone is the Most Fun I’ve Ever Had Playing a Glitchy-Ass Game

Days Gone is repetitive, typical, predictable, and mostly uninspired. But after looking past its shortcomings, I realized something: it’s also a blast. Not every game has to be revolutionary, and Days Gone is a perfect example of that.
Zombie games (and most other horror-survival titles) make up a lot of my gaming time, so when I saw the launch trailer for Days Gone three years ago, I was psyched. Watching Deacon St. John—a character I would later come to know as “Deek”—run from a massive horde of what the game calls “Freakers” in that first look was exciting. While it was more cinematic than gameplay, it looked intense, fast-paced, strategic, and most of all, horrifying. It instantly sold me.

Fast-forward three years and several delays, and I got the game in my hands on launch day, April 26, 2019. I popped that bad boy into my PlayStation 4 Pro to get rolling (literally—the motorcycle action was something I was looking forward to), hoping for what would ultimately become one of my new top five games.
I went into the game as blindly as I could. I watched the trailers and gameplay teasers as they were released, but avoided reviews so I could go in without preconceived ideas about what the game is, isn’t, should, or shouldn’t be. The intensity of the launch trailer made me think of a specific moment from my favorite game of all time—the hotel basement from The Last of Us—so I had high hopes that it would live up to that. Spoiler: It didn’t.
And that’s okay. Let’s talk about why.

<h2>A Great Story Can Make a Great Game…</h2>
A great game makes players care genuinely about the characters and what they’re going through—I love Joel and Ellie (The Last of Us) on what feels like a personal level. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, I cared about Aloy’s quest—I wanted her to find the answers she was so desperately seeking. In God of War (2018), Kratos showed a side we’ve never seen before and is such an incredibly dynamic, multi-faceted character who makes you feel.

The company was invited by Xiaomi back in Q1 2018 to investigate local manufacturing opportunities during its ‘Supplier Investment Summit’. Last year  Holitech Technology signed an MOU with the state of Andhra Pradesh to start local manufacturing in the city of Tirupati. Holitech Technology also announced that it will invest about US$200 over three years in the country and would be manufacturing Compact Camera Modules (CCM), Capacitive Touch Screen module (CTP), Thin Film Transistor (TFT), Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), and fingerprint module locally. The plant is spread across 4 factories and spans over 25000 square meters in the city of Greater Noida and will start mass production with a production capacity of over 300 million components per year. It also boasts of class 1000 and class 100 clean room, an industry first, said the company. According to reports, Samsung is planning to debut its latest 64MP ISOCELL sensor on one of the upcoming Galaxy A series model and surprisingly, an upcoming Redmi smartphone is also said to come with the new 64MP sensor. The 64MP sensor uses Pixel-merging Tetracell technology and the remosaic algorithm offers 16MP images in low-light environments where four pixels are merged to work as one to increase light sensitivity and highly-detailed 64Mp shots in brighter settings. It also supports real-time high dynamic range (HDR) of up to 100-decibels (dB) that provides richer hues. Recently, a render of the Google Pixel 4 was released revealing a square camera bump and the possibility of an in-display fingerprint scanner and eventually Google officially teased the smartphone officially. Today, live images of the upcoming Pixel 4 have surfaced revealing the square camera bump, fabric case and more. According to the leaked images, it shows the rear camera housed inside a square bump and the placement is identical to the one shared officially by Google recently. It also reveals the microphone which is present at the top of the smartphone. The forehead of the smartphone reportedly seemed large and also had the dual front-facing cameras from last year's Pixel 3 XL. Apart from this, the image also shows the phone housed inside a fabric case and it is not clear if it is the official case that Google sells. Regarding the specifications, we can expect Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB RAM, and the latest Android Q. Microsoft is laying the groundwork for separating Shell UI components of Windows 10 from the rest of the OS. That work could be leading to a more modularized Windows, for greater flexibility in future product offerings.
A Twitter user who goes by the handle <a href="https://twitter.com/thebookisclosed">Albacore</a> frequently unearths future Microsoft plans by delving into the code on Insider builds. When digging around in Insider Build 18917, Albacore noticed some intriguing changes. Microsoft started work on separating the <a href="https://twitter.com/thebookisclosed/status/1138948841863098368">Shell UI from the base OS.</a>
In the short run, this doesn’t mean a lot for average Windows users; they’re unlikely to notice the difference. But pulling the Shell UI out of the base OS opens new possibilities for Microsoft. That change could be useful for Microsoft’s <a href="https://www.howtogeek.com/397210/the-future-of-windows-what-are-polaris-and-windows-core-os/">Windows Lite and Core plans</a>, which could include just the parts necessary for a particular device like Hololens or rumored dual-screen devices.
Eventually, users may benefit as well, since these ordinarily static components could see updates without an entire OS update. And as Albacore pointed out, one more interesting possibility is to sync settings for components like File Explorer across devices. NASA wants to go back to the moon, and eventually create an outpost there. Another moon trip is a step in the overarching plan to go to Mars, and it’s a sensible step. If we can’t reliably and safely go to a place relatively close to us, how can we hope to travel further?
But space travel (well any travel) costs money, and NASA just put out its proposal for the first moon trip in five years: 20 to 30 billion dollars, on top of the current NASA budget. That number may seem high, but it’s lower than what watchers were predicting.
It’s easy to forget that while NASA doesn’t technically make and sell products, the technology it invents or helps design along the way often does come back to consumers. If you enjoy velcro, memory foam beds, or better vision due to LASIK, you owe thanks (at least in part) to NASA.

Here are a few steps you can take to reduce a presentation’s file size.
Large files can be annoying. They take up loads of precious disk space, slow down playback performance, and can cause emails to bounce back due to exceeding the file size limit. You can prevent all of these things by reducing the file size of your presentation.
We’ve mentioned it before, but the first thing you’d think of when considering file size reduction is images—and for a good reason. Image files can be quite large. There are steps you can take to reduce the size, such as compressing the images in the presentation. <h2>Convert Your Presentation to the PPTX Format</h2>
Microsoft released the PPTX format in Office 2007. Still, it’s not uncommon to see PPT files floating around. So <a href="https://www.howtogeek.com/393248/what-is-a-pptx-file-and-how-do-i-open-one/">what’s the difference between a PPT and PPTX</a> file? The PPTX version compresses all of the content within the presentation. If you have a PPT file and convert it into a PPTX file, you’ll notice a decrease in the file size.
Converting the file is as simple as pressing a button and choosing the file type. Go ahead and open your PPT file, head over to the “File” tab, and then click “Convert.”

The patent was submitted on 28 November 2018 and was published on June 6, 2019. The patent submitted by Samsung with WIPO(World Intellectual Property Office) reveals an unannounced smartphone with a flexible display and the display can be pulled out, creating an extra screen surface. There are two rollers placed in the housing which ensure that the screen can be rolled in and out correctly. The upper bezel of the smartphone houses the earpiece as well as an LED indicator and the receiver seems able to extend outward from the phone. Along with the receiver, the upper bezel will house camera lenses like telephoto, wide-angle, etc. It also reveals that an elongated screen surface can be created by pulling out the display using a slider system and by this mechanism, the total surface mechanism is increased by no less than 60%. While Chromebooks don’t have a separate right-click button on the touchpad, that doesn’t mean the function isn’t available. Should you need to right-click on something, there are a couple of ways to do so without the need to plug in a mouse.
<h2>Right-Click Using Two Fingers</h2>
The most straight-forward way of right-clicking on a Chromebook is to click the touchpad with two fingers. Just like that, a right-click context menu will appear.
However, you can take that simplicity one step further by enabling the “Tap-to-click” feature.
First, click on the clock to open the system menu and notification tray; then click on the Settings icon.
