Xiaomi launched the selfie-centric Redmi Y3 last week at an event in India, it also launched the Redmi 7 at the same event. As per the specifications, Redmi 7 looks like a younger Redmi Y3 sibling with an 8 MP front camera but priced 1000 INR cheaper compared to it's elder sibling. All these phones feature P2i nano-coating making them splash proof. Gone are the days when Xiaomi didn't want their devices to compete with each other, with the introduction of more series of devices under Redmi sub-brand, we now have at least one device (up to INR 12k!) in every 1000 INR price difference. Redmi Y3 is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 11,999, same as Redmi Note 7 putting it in direct competition with the popular Redmi Note series device.
