YouTube has finally launched YouTube Music streaming service in India, after it was announced back in May last year. Google launched its Play Music service in India back in 2016. YouTube Music lets you play official songs, albums, thousands of playlists and artist radio plus YouTube’s huge catalog of remixes, live performances, covers and music videos - all simply organized and personalized. YouTube Music is available for free with ads, but you can get YouTube Music Premium to play songs and videos in the background even when the phone is locked. YouTube Music Premium also offers offline downloads and a completely ad-free experience starting at Rs. 99 per month. As a part of special introductory offer, it offers 3 months free YouTube Music Premium subscription. At the end of the trial period, users will be automatically charged the standard subscription price unless cancelled before the end of the trial. Google Play Music users will get YouTube Music Premium membership as part of their subscription each month.
