If reports are to be trusted, Google might be working on game streaming service 'Yeti" which also includes a console and controller to take on NVIDA and Sony. The new gaming service would work either on Chromecast or a Google-made console which is currently under development.  The service that currently code-named Yeti is aimed at putting Google in a commendable place in the video game business and to let users play games while streaming rather than downloading to disks and digitally. The gaming service will involve Google's cloud service to broadcast the games to users over the internet. Though Google said to have discussed its plans with game developers, it needs to be seen who or anyone of them would develop a game dedicated to Yeti or make a Yeti version of the games that are already available. Google's recent hiring of Phil Harrison, who is a longtime video game industry veteran indicates the company plans on entering the video game business which is currently on the rise. Considering the huge amount of revenue generated by Google from Play via advertising, it needs to be seen how Google is planning on monetizing the service when it launches. Source | Via
