MediaTek is working on a 64-bit Octa Core SoC in the MT67XX series, which will be MediaTek's first chip that will be based on 20nm process, according to a leaked roadmap. MediaTek introduced the MT6795 SoC last year as the world's first 64-bit Octa-Core smartphone SoC with built-in 4G LTE Cat.9. It has 4 ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs and 4 ARM Cortex-A57 CPUs and is based on 28nm process. Unlike the MT6795 SoC, the upcoming SoC would come with Cat.6 LTE and is expected to be targeted at mid to high-end 4G devices. Details about the display and ISP support in chip are not available yet. Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 SoC that is also based on 20nm process will ship sometime in the first half of 2015. LG G Flex 2 could be the first smartphone to ship with the chip since the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is not expected until the end of March. Hope we can expect more devices, including the rumored HTC One M9 (Hima) with the Snapdragon 810 SoC at the MWC 2015.
