Microsoft's Windows 10 event last night started off slow, but the 2-3 hours long presentation picked up pace when the company made surprise announcements, one after the other. Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for all Windows Phone 8, Windows 8 AND 7 users in the first year of its commercial existence. 2. Windows 10 gets the action center for handling notifications, a new windowed system for apps and the start menu that uses continuum for different form factors. 3. Cortana comes to the PC, has additional features like system wide dictation. 4.
