Yahoo! has updated its Weather app for Android, iPhone and iPad with new animated effects. The Android app now shows animated effects for rain, snow, fog, heat, lightning and frost and the iOS app that already had some animated effects now shows lightning and frost in addition to those. These effects are animated through leveraging bleeding-edge graphics technology typically only seen in video games, says the company. In addition to new animated effects, the update also adds new designs for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus,fixes some bugs and brings performance improvements. Yahoo! introduced the Yahoo Weather app for iPad last year. Yahoo Weather for Android v1.3 is available from Google Play Store and Yahoo Weather for iOS v1.6.5 is available from Apple iTunes Store.
