Motorola is likely to discontinue its most popular Moto G smartphone in India, few weeks before the arrival of its successor. Flipkart is advertising as "Get yours before it's gone! Last stock of Moto G 16GB" on its website, so this might be the last stock of the smartphone to be sold in India. Motorola reduced the price of both 8GB and 16GB variants of Moto G by Rs. 2,000 in India recently, due to huge competition from other manufacturers. Moto G is definitely one of the most popular smartphones in India that boosted the sales of the company. The company became India’s 4th largest smartphone vendor in the second quarter of 2014 with just three smartphones. Back in June Motorola said that it sold one million units of Motorola smartphones through Flipkart. At the launch Moto G did not have any competition, so it faced a huge demand for a few weeks. Now the Xiaomi Mi 3 and the Asus Zenfone 5 directly competes with the Moto G. Motorola has scheduled an event on September 5th in India, where it is expected to launch new smartphones.
