Amazon just launched New Kindle Paperwhite e-reader with a waterproof body with IPX8 ratings to protect against immersion in up to two metres of fresh water for up to 60 minutes, similar to the Kindle Oasis (2017). It has the same 6-inch touch screen at 300 PPI pixel density, but this has a 8.18mm slim body and weighs 182 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest Kindle Paperwhite yet. It has 8GB of storage, which is twice the storage as the previous generation and can hold thousands of titles, and 32GB for the WiFi + 4G version for storing even more content. It says battery will last for up to six weeks, based on a half hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at 13.
