Update - October 19: After the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact got the Android 9.0 (Pie) update last week, earlier than the promised November release. Sony has now announced new dates for the roll out for other devices. XZ Premium, XZ1 and XZ1 Compact - from 26 October, 2018 XZ2 Premium - from 7 November, 2018 XA2, XA2 Ultra and XA2 Plus - from 4 March, 2019 Earlier: After a report, Sony Mobile has officially confirmed the list of its smartphones that will get Android 9.0 (Pie) update. This includes its flagship smartphones, but the first-generation Xperia X and XZ series are being left out with an exception to the XZ Premium. Likewise, the XA1 series that were launched last year are left out, and only the XA2 series that were launched this year are getting updated to Android Pie.
