Amazon India today announced that it is expanding its ultra-fast delivery on Amazon Now app and re-branding it to Prime Now. With Prime Now, Amazon is offering exclusive Express 2-hour delivery to Prime members anytime between 6 am to midnight. Including the express delivery, same-day and next-day delivery will remain available for all customers, in convenient 2-hour slots from 6 am to 12 midnight. Prime Now is available in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad and is also expanding to over 10,000 products with everything a customer may need or desire in hours. The categories include Fruits & Vegetables, Grocery, Staples, Meats, and Home & Kitchen fulfilled by Amazon through the Now Store, as well as by supermarkets such as Big Bazaar, Aditya Birla More, and local specialty sellers like Licious and Pescafresh. Amazon said that the selection is updated every season with seasonal fruits like mangoes among others. Since the company is expanding to Home & Kitchen, customers can purchase from a host of categories including electronics accessories, Home and Kitchen, soft furnishings, small appliances from mixer grinders to induction cookers, and many more.
