Motorola announced its newest mid-range smartphone, the new Moto G about 48 hours ago and we have already managed to get the retail unit. The 2014 edition Moto G has got the unboxing treatment and is going through the paces in our labs for a detailed review. For starters, the new Motorola Moto G comes in varies names such as Motorola Moto G second generation, Motorola Moto G2 and Motorola Moto G+1. The retail package of the new Moto G is quite similar to the original Moto G. Inside is the 5-inch Moto G itself alongside the A/C adapter, headsets and some leaflets. We would like to bring it to your notice that the retail package doesn’t include a USB cable, but we guess it’s more to do with keeping the cost down. Motorola Moto G2 sports 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and there is gorilla glass 3 for extra protection. Motorola has retained the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM from the previous iteration.
