Xiaomi announced Redmi Note 5 running on MIUI 9.2 based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) in India and later updated it to MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). The company recently announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 at an event in India. MIUI 11 aims to bring a brand new optimized modern UI design focused on content viewing and has along with nifty additions designed specifically for India. The new update comes as MIUI 11.0.2.0.OEGMIXM and weighs around 493MB in size. Xiaomi has updated the Android Security patch on the device and it now runs on October 2019 security patch. MIUI 11 brings new features such as New Minimalistic Design, Mi Share, Blur App Previews, Quick Replies, New Dynamic Sound Effects, Floating Calculator, Updated Mi File Manager, and more to the device.
