Qualcomm just announced its 3-day annual Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii on December 3, 4 and 5. The company has confirmed that it will have keynotes that will cover 5G Global Expansion, Flagship Snapdragon Mobile Platforms, XR and Always On, Always Connected PC. We can expect the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, successor of the Snapdragon 855 that was introduced in December last year. New Snapdragon 735 and other new mid-range SoCs with 5G are also expected. Based on earlier rumors, the Snapdragon 865 is said to come in two versions condenamed ‘Kona’ and ‘Huracan’, one with integrated X55 5G modem and the other one without it. It is said to feature one Cortex A77-based Kryo core clocked at 2.84GHz and three Cortex A77-based Kryo cores clocked at 2.48GHz and four Cortex A55-based Kryo cores clocked at 1.8GHz and support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The Snapdragon 735 (SM7250) is said to pack one A76-based Kryo cores clocked at 2.36GHz, another A76-based Kryo cores clocked at 2.32GHz and 6 smaller A55-based cores clocked at 1.73GHz with Adreno 620 GPU and 7nm processing technology.
