Xiaomi launched the Mi 5 smartphone back in 2016 running MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), earlier this year it got the Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 9.5 update as well as new features. After the Redmi Y2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Mi 5 users have received the stable MIUI 10 OTA update from today. The new update comes as MIUI 10.0.1.0.OAAMIFH and is 549 MB in size. This update still has August security patch. It brings major changes like Redesigned Notification Panel, Redesigned Volume Sliders, Improved multitasking management, natural sound system, and a lot more, for more details on MIUI 10 refer to this post.
