OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 9.0 update based on Android 9.0 (Pie) for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone, in about four months after it released the Android P beta as one of the first manufacturers, and releasing three open beta updates this month. The company said that starting with the Android Pie, OxygenOS version number will correspond with the Android version number. OnePlus already said that it has created specialized team called Team FSE (Fast, Stable, Efficient) to focus solely on maximizing the power of its flagship devices and ensure that OnePlus devices offer the fastest, and smoothest user experience available. Android 9 Pie includes Adaptive Battery technology, which learns how you use your phone, so apps and services you rarely use aren’t a battery drain. OnePlus already promised that it will offer software updates for two years after the launch of a device, and security updates for an additional year after that. The OnePlus 6 Android 9.0 Pie update is 1.52GB in size and also includes Android security patch for September 2018.
