Incognito Mode on Google Chrome lets you browse the web without maintaining a history or saving information like cookies and form inputs. Now, Google might be planning to rename the feature to 'Private Mode' Users have started noticing that the 'Open in incognito tab' option has been changed to 'Open in private tab,' which could signal that Google is about to change it for everyone. It looks like the change might be server side as the option didn't seem to have changed for us as they still read 'incognito' for me. However, things might remain as they are like before since these kinds of tests are nothing new to Google.  The Chrome Help page already has 'private' references quite heavily, so that could be a sign of things to come. This change comes after recent change to Keep which got re-branded to 'Keep Notes.' Source
