Entry-level 6.1-inch iPhone 2018 with Dual-SIM support could be exclusive to China

<img alt="" src="https://images.fonearena.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Apple-iPhone-2018-colors-1024x536.jpg" /> Rumors so far been suggesting that Apple might be introducing a new dual-SIM variant of the upcoming iPhones. This would allow users to use two SIM cards with dual standby. However, it appears this functionality could be limited to iPhones that will be launched in China. According to Foxconn source, the dual-SIM dual standby feature could be exclusive to the 6.1-inch low-cost LCD iPhone model.  Furthermore, new iPhones slated for a September launch is currently underway and Foxconn employees suggest that Apple is producing four unique model numbers (801, 802, 803, and 804) for the upcoming iPhones, hinting at the extra two SIM model. The 801 and 802 models are the 5.8 and 6.5-inch iPhones, while the latter two represent the 6.1-inch LCD iPhones; one with single and the another with dual SIM variant. Since the dual SIM usage is on the higher side in China and to stay competitive in the world's one of the biggest smartphone market, Apple is said to be taking this route for the first time. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also suggested that Apple is working on two 6.1-inch iPhone models for launch in 2018. While the dual-SIM model might be slightly costlier than the regular single SIM variant, he didn't mention that ... <div class="feedflare"><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:yIl2AUoC8zA"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:V_sGLiPBpWU"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?i=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:V_sGLiPBpWU" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:D7DqB2pKExk"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?i=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:D7DqB2pKExk" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=eQnt83hqAeU:cU7R83zT1-U:7Q72WNTAKBA"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?d=7Q72WNTAKBA" /></a></div> <img alt="" height="1" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/fone-arena/~4/eQnt83hqAeU" width="1" /><br /> <a href="https://www.fonearena.com/blog/260070/6-1-inch-iphone-2018-dual-sim-china.html">Read Here»</a>

Google acknowledges it is responsible for UIDAI helpline number added to Android phonebook, will roll out a fix soon

<img alt="" src="https://images.fonearena.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/UIDAI-Phonebook-toll-free-number-1024x922.jpg" /> This week Android users in India reported Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) toll-free helpline number saved in their phonebook automatically. After a sudden uproar on Twitter, UIDAI responded saying that it has not asked or communicated with any manufacturer or service provider for providing any such facility and the said '18003001947' is outdated and invalid UIDAI toll-free number. Today, Google has responded saying that it is responsive for this since the helpline number was accidentally coded into the SetUp wizard of the Android release given to OEMs for use in India back in 2014, and it has remained there since, so it got transferred to the contacts on any new device. This makes sense since some of the iOS users also saw the UIDAI contact in their phonebook, so it must have got synced when they moved from Android to iPhone. Google also assured that this is not an unauthorised access of their Android devices. It is working on a fix, which will be rolled out to all OEMs in an upcoming release of SetUp wizard. In a tweet, Google said: Our internal review has revealed that in 2014, the then UIDAI helpline number and the 112 distress helpline number were inadvertently coded into the SetUp wizard of ... <div class="feedflare"><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:yIl2AUoC8zA"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:V_sGLiPBpWU"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?i=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:V_sGLiPBpWU" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:D7DqB2pKExk"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?i=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:D7DqB2pKExk" /></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?a=Gj-V8BMOnSE:6rv48L0bfTM:7Q72WNTAKBA"><img border="0" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/fone-arena?d=7Q72WNTAKBA" /></a></div> <img alt="" height="1" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/fone-arena/~4/Gj-V8BMOnSE" width="1" /><br /> <a href="https://www.fonearena.com/blog/260063/google-android-toll-free-automatically-saved-phone-book-fix.html">Read Here»</a>
