Xiaomi under its Redmi brand launched its Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in India last week starting at Rs. 9999 and Rs. 14999, respectively. These phones went on sale for the first time yesterday, October 21st, and were sold out in minutes. Xiaomi said that 1.5 million or 15 lakh people had shown interest to buy the phone, but it did not reveal the number of units sold. Sold out again, in seconds.
