The feature has been present in other podcast and video players like YouTube, etc. and Netflix has now joined that list. The feature is currently only available for the Android app with version 7.31.0. However, the feature is not there for everyone as we were only able to see it in one of our phones. If it is enabled, users will see an option called "Speed (1X)" next to "Audio & Subtitles" in their video player. On clicking it, a menu will pop up with the options for 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x and 1.5x. We cannot find the option for 2x though like what YouTube has but it may come in the future. It is also possible that Netflix could be planning on bringing this feature to Android TV, iOS, web, or other platforms in the future. Via
