Google unveiled Android Q Beta 1 back in March, released Beta 2 in April 2019 and released Beta 3 earlier last month at I/O 2019. Many non-pixel smartphones were in the eligible list of smartphones to get Android Q Beta including OnePlus. The company released Android Q Developer Preview 1 last month and now, almost exactly after a month, the company has started rolling out Android Q Developer Preview 2 for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. Android Q Developer Preview is different from source Android Q Beta 2 image that is available for the Pixel smartphones. As this is a Developer Preview, it is known to have bugs and OnePlus lists some issues like broken Reading mode, Display mode, stability issues and more. Users who are already on Developer Preview 1(DP1) can directly flash the Developer Preview 2 image for the OnePlus 7/ OnePlus 7 Pro without any data loss. For users who wish to update from stable to Developer Preview 2, they can flash the images for the OnePlus 7 / OnePlus 7 Pro, but it will wipe all user data.
