Xiaomi launched its first dual-camera phone Redmi Note 5 Pro in India last year running MIUI 9.2 on top of Android 7.1 (Nougat) and later updated it to MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) back in June 2018. MIUI 9.5 also brought some new features such as full-screen gesture support, Dual 4G VoLTE and more to Redmi Note 5 Pro. Later in September 2018, the company rolled out MIUI 10 update for the smartphone, followed by Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI 10 Global Beta update in March 2019. The new update comes as MIUI 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM and weighs around 1.6 GB in size, and brings Android 9.0 (Pie) along with May security patch to the device. The update also brings system-wide dark mode and new charging animation to Redmi Note 5 Pro. The company had recently rolled out MIUI Global Stable 10.3.1.0 update with face unlock support for app lock.
