Google has announced that Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites will be getting a new look and feel on the Web. While there may not be any functionality changes, users will notice visual improvements including Interface typography that uses Google’s custom-designed and highly-legible typefaces, controls and more.  Controls such as buttons, dialogs, and sidebars are updated with consistent iconography that is legible and crisp. The four products in this update join other G Suite products like Gmail and Calendar in sharing a common design language. Google says that this style change is part of a new, consistent design approach from Google and users can expect to see similar changes across other G Suite applications in the future. This new material design interface for Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites is already rolling out and full roll out will begin by February 11th. Source
