Hotly anticipated summer films are being released now, and the movie world’s most recent big cheese is none other than Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Cinephiles may have to wait until the end of the year for the physical disc format, but how are the superheroes, pets, princes, and princesses on your old DVD discs? Can they still save the world or go on adventures? Well, I mean, are your old discs still intact and readable? After all, physical media is fragile. Old classic movie data could be lost forever because of scratches and the like, making digital backup a necessary step. Besides, even though playing a DVD movie with a standalone DVD player is not that complicated, a digital copy is far easier to access, edit and upload.
