Xiaomi this week introduced the Mi A2 Lite smartphone along with the Mi A2, at an event in Spain. Powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, it runs stock Android 8.1 (Oreo) with support for Treble. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with AI beautification. The doesn't have a metal design like the A2, but the phone feels solid when holding. It comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, Sony IMX486 sensor, similar to the A2, but this features a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor and f/2.2 aperture to capture depth information for AI portraits. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back, and the phone doesn’t miss out on the infrared sensor. Unlike the A2, the has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots, and also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a huge 4000mAh (typical) battery.
