Twitter is experimenting with new ways to display conversations on its platform, trying out Reddit style flows to replies to a Tweet. First seen on Twttr, the prototype app for Twitter.com, it makes use of threaded replies that give a message board type of feel, connecting replies to the original tweeter. Twitter user Jane Manchun Wong spotted these changes on Twitter.com, observing new conversation tree style layouts, identical to the ones found in the Twttr app. The design was further tweaked to include the ability to focus on any one tweet, even if its a permalink. The design on Twitter.com also incorporated Twttr's card stye layout which highlights tweets you tap within a thread in the same way.
