Vodafone expanded its 4G services across Karnataka back in 2016 and the company launched VoLTE services last year. After launching TurboNet 4G in selected cities of India, today, Vodafone Idea has officially launched 'TurboNet 4G' in Karnataka and has announced that it has successfully integrated the erstwhile Vodafone and Idea networks. The launch of TurboNet 4G follows the successful consolidation of its radio network integration and the deployment of newer technologies to further boost network capacity and coverage across large parts of the country. Bangalore is the first metro in India to get the TurboNet 4G service, in addition to other major cities like Mysuru, Mangaluru, Belagavi, Hubballi, and Davangere in Karnataka. TurboNet 4G essentially features a “state of the art 4G LTE network with dual spectrum power offering higher capacity and coverage” In addition to this, Vodafone has also deployed LTE 900 technology in Bangalore to enable higher penetration of 4G in indoor areas, offering enhanced network experience for users. To recall, Airtel already started deploying LTE 900 technology across varies circles in India.
