Twitter has rolled out an update to its Twitter mobile app which brings Dava-Saving feature to let users have more control over their data usage. Instead of saving data using the Lite app, users can instead turn on the toggle to save data using the main app. Users will be able to turn on a new ‘Data Saver’ option available in Twitter’s Settings. Prior to this update, Data Saver option was available in Twitter for Windows, Twitter Lite, and its mobile website. Twitter was testing the options for Android and iOS and it is now finally rolling out. To turn on the data saver, you’ll have to head over to Data Usage settings in the iOS or Android mobile app and toggle the option on or off. When enabled, images will load in lower quality and videos won’t autoplay. However, if you wish to see high-quality images, you can tap on the three-top menu and pick “Load High Quality” to change the setting of that particular content. The update also brings other features which include changes to make it easier to manage who’s in your group chats, VoiceOver improvements in polls, and better labels for some types of Twitter ads.
