Unigroup Spreadtrum & RDA today announced that its high-performance mobile chip platform Spreadtrum SC9850 and SC7731E fully support Google's Android 8.1 (Go version). The company's collaboration with Google for Android Go will provide devices with robust security and a better performance experience. The company also mentioned that support for more SoC platforms is coming very soon. Smart devices based on Spreadtrum SC7731E Android 8.1 (Go version) results in smooth performance and excellent user experience even with 512 MB of RAM. Unigroup Spreadtrum & RDA SoC platforms have already passed Android Go Certification. The company is now eligible to provide mobile device manufacturers with pre-tested, pre-certified and fully compatible Android software, which also includes Google Mobile Service (GMS), Google Compatibility Test Suite (CTS), and monthly security updates. Qualcomm and MediaTek have already announced their support, and we have already started seeing Android Oreo (Go edition) compatible phones.
