The main aim of launching this lightweight browser is to offer a medium where access to mobile data and high-speed connectivity is limited if not poor. The app is currently available on PlayStore, and it is compatible with devices running Android 5.0 or higher. Like with most lite apps, the Amazon browser is also just a 2MB download. To put that into perspective, Chrome (21MB), Edge (54.5MB), Firefox (19.9MB) and Opera (14.7MB), are nowhere close to the Amazon's 2MB browser. The Play Store description reads 'Private' which means that it doesn’t ask for extra permissions or collect private data like other browsers do. Firefox is one such browser which blocks website trackers. It also supports Private tabs so that you can browse without saying browser history. Other features include tab previews, an automatic full-screen mode, integrated news reader, and more. News reading experience is another indication that the browser is only meant for Indian users. The browser homepage displays news, cricket, and entertainment from top sources, and cricket. Amazon also offers a Kindle Lite app in India. You can download the Amazon Lite browser directly from the Play Store . Via
