Xiaomi announced the Redmi 2 smartphone in China last month. It is a budget smartphone from the company that supports 4G LTE connectivity. We have seen the unboxing and photo gallery of the phone and now lets compare the phone with Xiaomi Redmi 1s in this photo gallery. Redmi 2 has a 4.7-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC. Running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with MIUI 6 on top, the phone comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, micro SD support up to 32GB. On the other hand Redmi 1S has 4.7-inch HD IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8228) processor with Adreno 305 GPU. Running Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) based MIUI ROM, it has 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, micro SD card up to 64GB. Redmi 2 has a 2MP front-facing camera that supports 720P HD video recording and earpiece at the center. Redmi 1S has a 1.6MP front-facing camera.
