We're currently in Shenzhen on a tour of Huawei's Chinese factories and operations and the company has confirmed to us today that they plan to launch new wearable devices at MWC 2015. The company hasn't confirmed exact details but according to a slide we've seen from the PR Director, the wearable plans potentially include a smartwatch running on the Android Wear operating system, a Huawei companion application and a platform to run their wearable devices. Huawei's presence in the wearables market is currently very limited and their main wearable device is currently the TalkBand B1 which runs on a proprietary operating system. Huawei has long been expected to launch a device running on Google's wearable platform but information has been somewhat scarce about the device; although the company hasn't confirmed any specifics about its upcoming device, they did tease that there may be more than one device in the near roadmap. At the IFA 2014 Huawei's CEO Richard Yu already confirmed that the company is working on an Android Wear smartwatch for 2015.
