In recent days, the term VoWifi has been trending all over the Internet! At present, two telecom operators Airtel and Jio has rolled out Wi-Fi calling for its users. What is VoWifi? Voice over Wi-Fi is a term to describe the delivery of telephone services using Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies from mobile devices connected across Wi-Fi. In simple terms, VoWiFi is a technology that allows customers to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network using their existing Jio phone number. Jio says that VoWiFi customers can use any Wi-Fi network for Jio, the voice and video calls will seamlessly switch-over between VoLTE and Wi-Fi to provide an enhanced voice/video-calling experience. Jio Wi-Fi calling works on over 150 handset models and Jio customers can also make Video over Wi-Fi calls. Prerequisites Wi-Fi Calling Capable Handset 4G VoLTE SIM (Jio) How to enable VoWiFi? To enable this feature, you need to enable Wi-Fi calling or VoWiFi on your phone.
