Earlier today Xiaomi's Redmi brand confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones in China on August 29th. Now MediaTek has confirmed that its latest Helio G90T SoC will power the Redmi Note 8 Pro, as rumored earlier. The Redmi Note 8 could be powered by Helio G90. At the MediaTek G90 series launch event in India last month Xiaomi India head and VP Manu Kumar Jain confirmed that Xiaomi will launch a new Helio G90T powered phone in India.
