MediaTek unveiled its Helio P60 12nm Octa Core SoC with multi-core processing unit earlier last year. After almost a year and a half, today, MediaTek has announced its latest Helio P65 SoC. It is an improvement to the Helio P60 and comes with support for 48MP camera and claims to deliver better AI and gaming experience. Helio P65 is an octa-core SoC built on the 12nm process and incorporates a pair of Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating up to 2.0GHz, plus six, Cortex-A55 processors in a single, octa-core cluster. The graphics are handled by the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU with a maximum frequency of 820MHz. It can support display resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 resolution, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, Beidou,  Galileo,  Glonass,  GPS, LTE Cat-4,  Cat-7 DL / Cat-13 UL with Carrier Aggregation. The P65 SoC comes with a 100 percent boost in AI performance and a 30 percent improvement in AI-camera tasks like object recognition, Smart Photo Album, scene detection and more. It also now supports single 48MP, 4-cell camera, and large, dual camera systems up to 16+16MP for a wide/telephoto lens along with support for professional-grade bokeh effects, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technology. ...
