OnePlus has been revolutionizing the Indian smartphone market since its inception with OnePlus One. Since then, the company has almost doubled its market share in the premium smartphone segment in India, gaining the lead over smartphone makers like Apple and Samsung in India. OnePlus launched its OnePlus 6 in May, which in fact became OnePlus’ fastest selling smartphone in the history. As a part of the tradition, the company is working on ‘T’ model, which is essentially an upgrade over the previous model in any given year. According to a recent report, OnePlus 6T is expected to be the next mid-cycle refresh from OnePlus this year. The company also confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6T will feature an in-display fingerprint reader, making it the first smartphone from OnePlus portfolio to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The company has also released a new teaser which hints at the in-display fingerprint scanner. It also said it originally intended to introduce the technology on the OnePlus 5T, but it did not do since the technology wasn’t mature enough to meet the company’s standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience, so it had to wait for a year.
